Job Opportunity At Public Procurement Appeals Authority (PPAA)- Driver grade II


JOB SUMMARY:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(i)    Driving the Authority’s vehicles as to approved destinations and in accordance with traffic regulations,
(ii)    Checking to ensure that the vehicle is in proper working order by ensuring that things like brakes, radiator, tyres, are in good order and that the vehicle is kept in clean condition,
(iii)     Inspecting vehicles for defects before and after trips and submitting report indicating vehicle condition to the Administration officer,
(iv)    Maintaining motor vehicle log books according to laid down regulations,
(v)    Reporting promptly any accidents or incidents involving the  vehicle to the supervisor and to the traffic police where necessary,
(vi)    Checking to ensure that there is vehicle security at all times,
(vii)    Collection and delivery of mail for the Authority,
(viii)    Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.


QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Form Four (IV) Secondary Education with Passes in Kiswahili and English with a valid Class C Driving Licence and Working experience of not less than four (4) years without causing an accident. Possession of Trade Test Grade II/ Drivers Grade II Certificate from a recognized institution such as National Institute of Transport or Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) will be an added advantage.
