WeWorld Tanzania is the Tanzanian branch of the Italian Foundation WeWorld Onlus, which is a non -
confessional, non-political, independent non-governmental organization. The aim of the organzation is to
improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations and to support children and local communities in
the fight against poverty and inequality, for a sustainable development. The mission of WeWorld is to
promote and safeguard children's and women's rights in Italy and throughout the world.
The ICT officer has to support and maintain internal and external communications with projects’ partners,
local authorities, service providers and beneficiaries by using specific tools of the organization.
· Manage communication and sensitization software
· Assist project manager and M&E officer to monitor and evaluate project implementation by the use of
specific software
· Collaboratively collect contacts (mobile phones) from field areas (rural and urban), manage and
coordinate creation phone numbers database
· Collaborate with the Project team to develop and conduct surveys, research and data collection from
· Assist in disseminating communication materials to relevant stakeholders
· Compiling and editing communication reports
· Upload and manage photo gallery
· Maintain documentation management system (hard copy and on network)
· Train and assist We World staff and partners in ICT skills
· The officer may be required to perform duties that are beyond the scope of the job description in
mutual discussion and agreement with the supervisor.
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
  • Very good mastering of English and Swahili (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent in use of computer applications related to the tasks (MS
    Word and Excel are a must)
  • Excellent command of social media and experience managing social media profiles
  • Knowledgeable of the new cybercrime law
  • Preferably experience in publicity or social campaigning
  • Preferably knowledge and experience in graphic design
  • Preferably knowledge and experience in photo and video shooting and edition
  • Preferably Web management experience
  • Experience of working with local NGOs, INGOs and government bodies would be an advantage
