Project Manager

Essential Functions
-Coordinating between all the various departments which are stakeholders of the project;
-Reporting to the Technical Director regular project status;
-Liaising with all the employees that are involved in the project;
-Keeping a close watch on the budgets of each department;
-Solving all the employee disputes that arise during the project phase;
-Being involved in the project from the planning stages;
-Being fully involved in the execution of the project before official launch of the said project;

-Reporting to the management on the development of the project;
-Following up on a project even after it is officially launched to ensure smooth operation.
-The project Manager has to be a hands-on person, as their help could be required at any time of the day;

-They have to be quick in solving problems as any delay stall the whole process;
-They should have technical knowledge of each department involved, from business to technical, having detailed information about their operations;
-On completion of the project, review the project's life cycle, benefits realization, lessons learned and clearly report on the operations of the project. RESPONSIBILITIES
-Ensures daily reporting to the Technical Director on the status of all projects before launch.

-Following up on a project even after it is officially launched to ensure smooth operation and benefits realization determined in the business case.
-A Project Manager must have good communication skills in acting as the liaison between the project team, subcontractor, customer and upper management
-To coordinate between various stakeholders in the execution of each project.
-Dissemination of project status to the management and operations team.

-Managing Project – Planning/Organizing/Controlling/Time Management& Stress tolerance
-Managing Customers - Customer/Client Orientated Focus/Analytical skills
-Managing Team - Strategic Thinking/Communication Proficiency/Problem Solving/Analysis.

The Project Manager Distribution is under the direct supervision of the Technical Director and adheres to the Maxcom Africa Plc organizational framework and chain of authority.

Teams up withall the other Business Managers for the General Management team and operations teamwhich is the day to day company strategy execution oversight.
Supervision: Works independently under the supervision of Technical Director

Required Education and Experience
Minimum of bachelor's degree in management, business, or project management or any business related field.
Knowledge of the ICT sector is an added advantage.
At least 5 years Work experience in handling multiple projects.
Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business
Proven track record of multiple project coordination.
Certification as a Prince2 or Project Management Professional (PMP) or proof that you working towards the certification
Preferred Education and Experience
5 years of multiple project coordination experience.
A degree in project management with some ICT/Business background.
