Job Summary:
The Head of sales and marketing position is responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for Corporate and Travel Agent Room Sales for the hotel.
  2. Clear understanding of the hotels business strategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.
  3. Update action plans and financial objectives quarterly.
  4. Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
  5. Represent Hotels in various events and exhibition.
  6. Implements all sales action plans related to my market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.
  7. Conducts daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients.
  8. Able to provide Quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, develop professional long term business relationships.
  9. Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
  10. Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
  11. Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g. CVGR, generating proposal, Corporate Rate Application letter, writing contract, customer correspondence).
  12. Able to supports hotels service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
  13. Work closely with Revenue Manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
  14. Develop strong relationships with on property front office team to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
  15. Accompany sales team on sales calls to potential clients to assist in development of the account and to access the effectiveness and sales skills of the sales person.
  16. Assess additional training needs based on data gathered and interaction with sales team from property visits.
  17. Attending all department and hotel meetings as necessary.
  18. Targeting key accounts potential for the company.
  19. Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  20. Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  21. Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  22. Acquiring and developing new business accounts and preparing sales proposals for clients.
  23. Closely following up on all business leads within a 24 hour response time line to clients.

  1. Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  2. Develops and manages sales/marketing operating budgets.
  3. Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
  4. Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  5. Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
  6. Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
  7. Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  8. Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
  9. Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  10. Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management.
  11. Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  12. Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  13. Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
  14. Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  15. Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
  16. Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  17. Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
  18. Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
  19. Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
  20. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  21. Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.

Other Requirement
· Preference for Female candidate
· Should have 10 plus years’ experience of Hospitality , having worked with International Hotels is must
· Should have dealt with European/ US Market/cliental.
· Multilingual skills and relationship Management is the key requisite.
· Should me excellent in presentation Skills and equipped with Hotel Management Marketing fundamentals such hard core sales, Promotion,Branding, generating revenue etc.
· Experience in Africa/Middle East / Other markets will be advantages.

Will not constrain for the best suitable candidate. (Start salary- 3000/- USD) besides Air ticket at the time of joining, Visa/Permit, Furnish and company maintain Accommodation, Transportation, Duty meal, Cell phone preload etc.
