Job Opportunity at NMB, Legal Manager General Contracts


The incumbent will be responsible to assist the Company Secretary in preparing, reviewing and overseeing general contract management unit within the bank.
Core Responsibilities
Preparation of relevant legal opinions as required.
To coordinate, and manage standard & general contracts that are non-lending.
To assist the Company Secretary in drafting general contracts on time for customers on request from relevant departments and branches within and outside the bank.
Assist in maintaining the contract register and ensuring all contracts are renewed/terminated within time.
Oversee the registration of long term contracts and payments with government authorities e.g. TRA.
To assist the Company Secretary in coordinating relevant permits.
Handle other tasks as assigned by the Company Secretary from time to time.

Excellent communication skills with internal and external clients.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Adequate knowledge in standard computer applications.
Must have sufficient knowledge of all legal regulations in Tanzania.
Must display flexibility in day to day work.

Qualifications and Experience
Preferably an advocate or a lawyer with a recognized degree in Law from a reputable university.
3 years’ working experience in a reputable bank/financial institution.
